Buy it: The Mud Fairy
The Mud Fairy (By Amy Young) – Emmalina is a fairy who is having a hard time staying neat and dainty as a fairy should. She likes to play in the swamp with the frogs. And while the other fairies earn their wings opening flowers, sprinkling dewdrops and making rainbows, Emmalina finds out she’s not very good at these tasks. As Emmalina is looking for something she is good at, her frog friends come to her with a problem. The frogs are worried because their children don’t jump or catch flies. Emmalina explains that they are only tadpoles, but in time they will be frogs. In the mean time, Emmalina stays in the swamp to protect the tadpoles until they become frogs. When she gets home she is a muddy mess, but the fairy queen gives Emmalina her wings for helping the frogs and she becomes known as the Mud Fairy.

Sky Castle (By Sandra Hanken) – In this story, three fairies close their eyes and imagine building a castle in the sky. The fairies dream of a castle with room for oceans, rainforests and mountains inside with rainbow stairs and crystal floors. They imagine the animals, family and friends who will live there. Then they dream about bringing their castle down to Earth. The book lets children know that all dreams are possible with imagination and love.

Buy it: Alice the Fairy
Alice the Fairy (By David Shannon) – Alice, a little girl dressed in fairy wings and a wand, explains that she is a temporary fairy. She can change her dad into a horse when she rides on his back, disappear with the help of her blanket and cast magic spells on her dog. This is a cute book for little girls who dream of being fairies and find little ways to make “magic” in their lives.
