The Daddy Book (By Todd Parr) – There are a lot of different daddies out there, but they are all special. This is a fun, colorful book that looks at all the different ways daddies have fun with their kids and express their love. The book explains how some daddies like to have tea parties, play in the tree house, ride a skateboard, build sand castles, sing to their children, take naps, bake cookies, walk their kids to school, etc. But, the book explains, all daddies want their kids to be who they are. My daughter loves the bright, colorful pictures that can be found in all the Todd Parr books. I love the sweet message of this book, that all daddies are unique but they all love their kids. This makes a wonderful Father’s Day gift.

The book recommendations included on this website are books that my daughter Ally, now age 5, and I have read and enjoyed together. I recommend the books that stand out to me as excellent children’s books for writing, illustrations, originality, story and characters. Ally and I hope you enjoy them too!
