Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type (By Doreen Cronin) – This is a very funny book about Farmer Brown, who is having a problem with his cows. All day long they like to type on the old typewriter they found in the barn and all day he hears “click, clack, moo.” But then one day the cows type a note to Farmer Brown requesting electric blankets for the cold nights in the barn. The story continues as the cows go on strike, the hens join the cows and Farmer Brown is forced to make a deal with his animals in order to get milk and eggs. The cows agree to give up the typewriter if they can have the electric blankets. Farmer Brown agrees, but then gets a typed note from the farm’s ducks. They have the typewriter now and they want a diving board for the pond. “Click, clack, quack.” My daughter laughs at this book every time we read it.
