Run, Turkey, Run! (By Diane Mayr) – It’s the day before Thanksgiving and the turkey is trying to escape from the farmer. He rolls in the mud to look like a pig and swims in the pond to look like a duck, but the farmer isn’t fooled. The other animals tell the turkey to run so he hides behind a tree. The farmer can’t find him and the farmer’s family ends up eating grilled cheese sandwiches for Thanksgiving. But then the family heads outside to cut down their Christmas tree and they find turkey hiding behind the tree. Turkey’s on the run again!
