Knuffle Bunny (By Mo Willems) – This is a wonderfully simple and funny story about a little girl named Trixie and her favorite stuffed animal, Knuffle Bunny. Trixie and her daddy go to the laundromat and Trixie helps her daddy with the laundry. But when they are walking home, Trixie realizes that Knuffle Bunny is missing. Trixie is too young to explain this to her daddy with words and young readers will find her babbling amusing. Finally, Trixie and her parents head back to the laundromat to search for the missing bunny and they find it in the washing machine. And Trixie exclaims her first words – “Knuffle Bunny!” Another great aspect of this book is the illustrations, which are layered over real photographs for a neat visual.
