Corduroy (By Don Freeman) – This is a classic children’s book which tells the story of a teddy bear named Corduroy who waits in the store for someone for take him home. One day a little girl named Lisa spots Corduroy and says he’s the bear she’s always wanted. But her mother says they can’t buy him and points out that he’s missing a button. That night, Corduroy roams the empty store looking for his missing button. He doesn’t find it, but the next day Lisa comes back with the money she has saved and buys Corduroy. Corduroy gets what he has always wanted – a home.
