Big Al (By Andrew Clements) – Big Al is the nicest and friendliest fish in the sea. But unfortunately, he looks scary. He works hard at making friends and tries to find ways to disguise his scary appearance and fit in with the other fish. But nothing seems to work. Until one day, when Big Al uses his size, strength and sharp teeth to fearlessly save the other fish, who have been caught in a fishing net. The other fish realize what a wonderful fish he is and finally Big Al has lots of friends.
The book recommendations included on this website are books that my daughter Ally, now age 5, have read and enjoyed together. I recommend the books that stand out to me as excellent children’s books for writing, illustrations, originality, story and characters. Ally and I hope you enjoy them too!
